1) WILSON POINT:- This is as famous as Sunrise Point. We can see sunset also from this point. This is the Highest Point in Mahabaleshwar, Height 4710' from MSL. The point was opened in the year 1927-28 and named after Governor Sir Leslie Wilson. Till then it was known as Shiodola Hill. Wilson Point was a Radar Station during World War II. After the Veena Dam is constructed a big water resorvoir and water will be supplied to the town.

2) CONNAUGHT PEAK:- 4664 Feet from Sea Level and Distance from S.T. Stand of Post Office 2 miles up to the junction. The peak itself is a small open plateau. This was locally known as Tandulni. Then Britshers used to call it mount Olympia. DR Dimoch then Superintendant of Mahabaleshwar named it as Connaught Peak in the Honour of due of Connaught. So it is also called as Duke Point.


3) HUNTER'S POINT:- Exactly opposite to the Tar to Connaught Peak. The view is more fascinating as it is open in all the three sides because of Koyana Valley. The entrance is dangerously slippery, So it is advised to use walking stick


4) KSHETRA MAHABALESHWAR:-

5) PANCHGANGA MANDIR:- It is rising of five rivers Krishna, Koyana, Venna, Savitri, Gayatri. There are two tanks one is Gomukh i.e Brahamakunda, here you can take bath and other is Vishnukund. Large number of pilgrims visit Kanyagat. It is believed that Planet Jupiter when enters the sign of Virgo comes to visit her younger sister Krishna and stays for a year. It is believed that when following astrological happening occur in same day. The occasion is considered as very scared and called as Kapila Shasthi Yoga

  4. The sun in Hasta Nakashtra
  5. Rohini Nakshtra
  6. Vyatipat

Generally people believe that this yoga comes at every six years. But it is not so, it is very rare occasion.


6) MOUNT FREEMAN:- This point in Lady Willington Gallop. This point gives you a Panoramic view of Koyana Valley on South side


7) ELPHONSTONE POINT:- This point happens to be First point of Mahabaleshwar. The more beautiful is lower point, this point overlooks two valleys Koyana and Savitri.



8) MARJORIE POINT :- It is close to Elphinstone Point. This point overlooks the ranges of Sahyadri making the view Miraculously Enchanting.

9) BRAHMARISHI CAVES:- The Caves are on Lady Willington Gallop. You visit here if you have time and energy.


10) SAVITRI POINT:- It is 200 meters to reach this point. It gives the view of Marjorie Point from different angles.



11) CASTLE ROCK:- The Rock is provided with dry Laterite work. It is very close to Savitri Point.



12) ARTHUR'S SEAT:- This is called as Queen of Points. This is only place showing Geographical distinction of Kokan and Desh(Deccan). About a thousand feet deep barren valley of Savitri river on your left falls is Kokan while shallow green glen on your right is desh. The mountain ridge in front of you appear like Haircut Head, The left being shaved portion and right like Scissor hair cut. Arthur's seat was named after Sir George Arthur.



13) BOMBAY(MUMBAI POINT):- The view from this point is beautiful and extensive. It is most popular sun set point. There is a garden and bandstand in the middle of the spacious area of the point.



14) POLO GROUND:- It is a vast levelled plain ground. Various games are conducted here.



15) KATE'S POINT:- It is named after a daughter of Sir John Malcolm. There is a spring known as "Vultures water". You are warned not to go too close to edge of the ground because of sleepery. Similarly you are warned not to go on huge rock that appears like an elephant head.



16) LINGMALA WATER FALLS:- The falls are seen in rainy season and up to november only. The Grandeur of the falls and Venna valley is beyond description. There are three spots to watch the falls.



17) BAGHDAD POINT:- It is a real gem. The land is point, You go the end of the land only to find breath taking beauty of blue valley in front of you. This is Solshi River Valley. On the western side you will see lovely slopping green ground of Mahabaleshwar Plateau.



18) BABINGTON POINT:- It is a sun set point. It is present a very beautiful view of Koyana valley and Saddle back.



19) HELEN'S POINT:- It is one of the most beautiful point. The Solshi River Valley looks bluish from this point. Be careful in finding this point.



20) PANCHAGANI:- The area of Panchagani is comparatively very less. The other places of Interest are

  4. Meherbaba Cave
  5. Kartiswami Mandir
  6. Caves of Rajapuri


21) WAI:- It is holy place. It is spread on the banks holy river Krishna. It is believed that pandawas were hiding themselves in this town which was capital of king virata. There are many forts in the vicinity of WAI.



22) PRATAPGAD:- It was Shivaji's fort.He confiscated their property and used it for construction and augmentation of Kshetra Mahabaleshwar. Shivaji built temple of Bhavani in 1661.
                                PRATAPGAD Is 22 K..M from Mahabaleshwar. There is a attractive garden in the center of which is a gracious statue on horse back.
